Jack Swedyk

Jack and his wife, Colleen, have lived in Hinckley since 1989, the year they were married.  They have one son, Jay, who currently lives in a suburb of Columbus.  They have always felt fortunate to have made the decision to live in Hinckley, a beautiful town full of kind people who love their community.

Prior to being elected as Trustee, Jack had a career working at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.  He was employed there for 38 years in totality.  The majority of his tenure was in the position of Airport Operations Manager where he was responsible for providing the safest and most efficient operating environment for the users of the airport, ensuring compliance with the applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations.

Although this is the first elected position Jack has held, it is not the first in his house.  He is very proud of his wife, Colleen who served as the Hinckley Township Fiscal Officer for 13 years, served as Medina County Recorder for 12 years, and is currently serving as Medina County Commissioner where she was re-elected to her second four-year term which began in January of 2023.

Jack’s four-year term as Trustee began in January of 2022.  Jack is currently the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and is currently the liaison to the Police Department and the Service Department.
