Chief Grossenbaugh and Fire Liaison, Melissa Augustine are currently looking for volunteers within the community who specialize in grant writing to assist Hinckley Fire Department in attaining grant funds. Specifically, identifying grants available to fire departments at the state and federal levels, and sharing in the document preparation for such grants. Recently a company representative selling medical supplies visited churches and businesses in the Hinckley Community advising those present that their Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) were out of date and required servicing and supplies.  In followup with some of the businesses, the Fire Department found that the devices were working properly and the supplies were not out of date.  Please be cautious when dealing with any vendors who appear at your location without a scheduled appointment.
