Hinckley Highlights

We celebrated our first movie night for this year at Brongers’ Park on June 1st.  Thanks to our Police and Fire Associations for sponsoring this event.  Our next movie night will be on August 17th courtesy of Hinckley Police Association and Mike and Connie Meadows of First Day School Supplies.
BIG NEWS!!!  We are hosting our first Independence Day Parade at Town Hall on Thursday, July 4th at 9 am.  We will begin at Town Hall and proceed to Hinckley Preparatory Academy for snacks and a bounce house with other fun activities.  Thanks to Hinckley Preparatory Academy and Chick-Fil-A for co-sponsoring this event.  We will have complimentary Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks.  We are encouraging any and all to decorate your bikes, golf cart, 4-wheeler or tractor and join us in celebrating our nation’s birth!  Email admin@hinckleytwp.org with any questions.
For those who want to run a business from home, HOME OCCUPATIONS are allowable within residential areas, but restrictions found in the Zoning regulations limit the activity so as to not disrupt the character of the neighborhood.  There are two types of businesses allowed: Home-Based and On-Site, and each have different requirements.  If you are considering a Home Occupation, and before you start, contact the Township Zoning Inspector at 330-278-4181 to understand what the Zoning regulations are and what it may mean for you.
For those who may be visiting their loved ones at either Maple Hill or Ridge cemeteries, you will find new smooth pavement throughout – replacing the bumpy and cracked pavement from over the years.
Construction on the east wall of the old fire station continues to progress on time with a completion date before the end of summer.  We look forward to celebrating many community events in this renovated area soon.
