--------------------------------------- The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has secured funding to prepare a feasibility study on the movement of traffic from I-271 southbound to I-71 northbound; and I-71 southbound to I-271 northbound. ODOT sought funding based on inquiries from the public about the absence of connecting ramps at the I-71/I-271 interchange. EMA provides Medina County Emergency Alerts as an alerting mechanism for county residents. This service is provided free of charge. All communities within Medina County are able to use the system for alerting their residents. When registering for Medina County Alerts, residents can also subscribe to an optional NWS weather warning service, provided directly by NWS, to keep residents aware of weather activity as soon as a warning is issued. Hinckley Township accepts applications for the Hinckley Township Community Garden in the early spring for the year’s planting season. The application process is an annual process and is on a first-come first-serve basis. You must be a township resident to apply. The Community Garden has 14 raised garden plots (of which 10 are currently available), and is located between the Fire Station and Service Garage off of Ridge Road.
