Chief Mel Morgan joined Hinckley Township Fire Department in June 2016. He has over 33 years experience with Fire and EMS. Chief Morgan has an abundance of training and experience. He is dedicated to his role as Chief and leading the members of Hinckley Township Fire & Ems Department.
Lieutenant/ Operations Officer
Gabe Gerbasi began his employment with Hinckley Fire Department in 2006 as a Firefighter/Paramedic. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2012. Gabe moved to Hinckley Township in 2007. His current full time employment is with the North Ridgeville Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic, since 2010 and a part time firefighter with Richfield Fire Department. He went to his firefighter training in 2003 at Cuyahoga Community College and Paramedic training at Parma Community General Hospital in 2004. In 2011, Gabe completed his Associates’ Degree in Fire Technology through Cuyahoga Community College in 2011. He is currently enrolled in the Fire Administration Bachelor’s Program at Bowling Green State University. Gabe is also a Fire Safety Inspector. Gabe’s duties at Hinckley Fire Department include Station and Fire Equipment Maintenance. Gabe enjoys working at the Hinckley Fire Department because he began his career here and attributes learning his trade in the Fire and EMS field in through his experience at Hinckley Township.
